The ipc200 product baseline by capability area, with applicable boundaries and what is not promised today.

Endless — ipc200 Feature List

Content baseline: product fact snapshot of August 2026 · page updated October 2026.

This page describes the product definition of the public baseline ipc200 (Hi3516CV610 + SC4336P, 4MP standard model). Other models reuse the software architecture, but their hardware, sensors, storage layout and trimmable features follow their own product configurations; the existence of a model does not mean every feature or release has passed acceptance.

1. Video and Audio

Product baseline

  • One channel with main and sub streams; main stream up to 2560×1440 with H.264 / H.265; sub stream H.264
  • Resolution, frame rate, bitrate, GOP, rate control and adaptive strategy are configured within device capability limits; valid configurations can be read back and applied live
  • Exposure, white balance, OSD, day / night mode, IR-CUT, fill light and JPEG snapshot
  • Audio defaults to G.711A (8 kHz mono) and can be configured as AAC / OPUS; audio goes into live streams and MP4 recordings, with volume, mute and audio-file management

Boundary: resolution, codec, frame rate and audio depend on model capabilities and configuration; USB audio is currently not supported on any product.

2. Live Streaming and Playback

Product baseline

  • RTSP live streams, enabled by default
  • WHEP / WebRTC live preview and recording playback; playback supports pause, resume, seek and speed control
  • RTMP push to external targets per channel and stream, disabled by default

Boundary: RTSP, WHEP live preview and WHEP playback each have explicit session resource limits, and sessions beyond the limit are rejected and reclaimed; RTMP needs an external receiver and supports AAC audio only.

3. Storage, Recording and Playback

Product baseline

  • FAT32 / exFAT local storage management: capacity, status, hot-plug and formatting
  • Continuous or alarm recording configured per week and per channel, with up to 6 non-overlapping periods per day
  • MP4 segmentation, loop overwrite, recovery of abnormal segments and index rebuilding
  • Event-linked recording with 0–30 s pre-record and 0–86,400 s post-record
  • Search by date, time range and type (scheduled, motion, alarm, manual), with timeline playback, seek and speed control

Boundary: requires real storage media; formatting is destructive; no fixed capacity limit is declared.

4. Local AI and Smart Events

Product baseline

  • The default model detects faces, people and vehicles, with configurable algorithm, confidence and maximum target count
  • Model file management: list, query, chunked upload, activate, deactivate and delete; the device does not export models
  • A unified event model that, according to device capability, exposes video detection, behavior analysis (line crossing, zone intrusion and others), heat maps, face analysis, people counting, video structuring and alarm input
  • Rules support arming schedules and target filtering, with linked recording, snapshots, sound, lights and alarm output

Boundary: detection quality depends on the model shipped with the firmware, the sensor image and site conditions; uploading a model is not proof that it runs; peripheral actions must be verified on the matching hardware fixture; no scenario-independent algorithm accuracy is promised.

5. Standard Protocols and Open Interfaces

Product baseline

  • ONVIF: WS-Discovery, Device, Media1 / Media2, streaming, snapshot, user and network management; authentication required by default
  • GB28181: multi-platform configuration, registration and keep-alive, catalog, live video, recording query / playback and alarm notification
  • JSON-RPC 2.0: HTTP /v1/jsonrpc2 and WebSocket /v1/protocol expose the same business capabilities
  • Event subscription: WebSocket /v1/events; WHEP uses /v1/whep/live and /v1/whep/playback

Boundary: without a physical PTZ, ONVIF PTZ / Imaging / Events and GB28181 PTZ are not acceptance-grade capabilities; GB28181 needs joint testing on the target platform, and a protocol entry point alone does not mean the platform passes; the interface is JSON-RPC, not a RESTful API.

6. Web Management and Permissions

Product baseline

  • Login, preview, playback, camera, network, AI, events, recording, peripherals, system and maintenance pages, shown according to permissions
  • Simplified Chinese and English UI, with instant switching
  • Login uses a server-side nonce challenge-response; business access uses a Bearer token
  • Three roles (administrator, operator, viewer) with fine-grained permissions; JSON-RPC methods and the WebSocket / WHEP entry points share one permission check
  • Default credentials are for initial deployment only; the administrator should change the password at first login

Boundary: the device's native entry is currently HTTP, with no built-in HTTPS / TLS. For untrusted networks, transport protection must come from a controlled network, a VPN or a reverse proxy.

7. System Maintenance and Firmware Upgrade

Product baseline

  • Persistent configuration, live updates and JSON import / export
  • Log export, device ping, packet capture, reboot, factory reset, automatic maintenance reboot and hardware watchdog
  • Optional SSH and a permission-controlled Web terminal
  • Firmware upgrade through chunked JSON-RPC upload and commit: the first chunk is pre-checked for product, version, size, MD5 and resource budget; an interrupted upload can resume by chunk index
  • A/B partitions: data is written to the inactive slot while it is received, the image SHA-256 is read back and verified after writing, the boot slot is switched on commit, and the device rolls back automatically if the new system fails to boot

Boundary: upgrade and rollback scope follows the acceptance of the current release; differential upgrade is not promised; firmware signing and secure boot are outside the promised scope.

8. Optional Extensions

MCP, device Agent, Qwen SDK, Alibaba Cloud ASR / TTS and OpenAI-compatible model access are implemented optional capabilities, off by default or lacking credentials. Before enabling them you must provide the external service address, account, model and network conditions; an unavailable external service should not affect the local preview, recording and event paths.

9. Not Promised Today

  • Native HTTPS / TLS, a RESTful API, a mobile app, email or app push notifications;
  • Firmware signing, secure boot, video encryption or offline licensing;
  • Full ONVIF PTZ / Imaging / Events;
  • All models sharing one complete feature set;
  • Real-world results for GB28181, RTMP or cloud models without the target platform conditions;
  • Power, temperature, ingress protection, certification, algorithm accuracy or mass-production stability conclusions that have not been tested on customer hardware.

Platform status and engagement options are in the Product Overview.
